Concert at the Atria Senior Living Center

Today Music Within performed for a group at the Atria Senior Living Center. Looking into the eyes of those that we performed for, it was incredible to watch the transformation that music had on their emotions. Throughout our performance, the participants were engaging with the music and each other. At the end of the concert, we got to know some of our participants a bit better. We learned that two of the group members had played the pianos in their past. It was especially exciting to hear that one participant still plays the bugle; unfortunately he was unable to make it today, so we have scheduled another concert at the Atria to hopefully connect with him, and play a piece with him as well. We look forward to returning to the Atria very soon in order to help this group continue to connect with music.
